Some songs are carefully written. Others simply arrive.
Celestial Body was one of those songs.
I had the title written in my notebook long before I knew what it meant. Then, during my sister's battle with cancer, she shared something that stayed with me. Whenever the pain became too much, she would tell me she was going to her cloud—a place she could escape, even for a little while.
After she passed, I woke early one morning with this song already there. The words came almost as quickly as I could write them, as though they had been waiting for the right moment to arrive.
To me, Celestial Body isn't a song about death. It's a song about love that continues beyond it. It's about believing that the people we love never truly disappear—that somehow, somewhere beyond what we can see, we'll find each other again among the stars.
It's a song of hope, remembrance, and the quiet comfort that love doesn't end when this life does.
